Why we ask for access
As part of your content marketing service, In-Store publishes posts to your LinkedIn Company Page on your behalf. This is handled through the LinkedIn Business Manager, the tool LinkedIn provides for agencies working on client Pages. We send your Page an access request, and a Super admin on your side accepts it. You do not share your password, you stay the owner of your Page, and you can remove our access whenever you choose. The whole process takes about three minutes.
The request we send you
There is nobody for you to look up and nobody for you to add. We send the request during onboarding from our Business Manager, which is named IN-STORE.CA, and it appears on your own Page, waiting for a Super admin to accept it.
We ask for the Content admin role. A Content admin can create and manage your Page’s content, such as posts and events. It cannot edit your Page information or add and remove admins. Those stay with Super admins.
What you’ll need
- A LinkedIn Company Page for your business.
- Super admin access to that Page. Only a Super admin can accept the request.
- About three minutes.
Step 1 – Open Manage admins
- Sign in as a Super admin and go to your LinkedIn Company Page.
- Click Admin tools at the top of the Page, then Manage admins.
On some Pages this sits in the left menu instead, under Settings. The rest of the steps are the same either way.
Step 2 – Find our pending request
Under Pending Business Manager Requests, you will see IN-STORE.CA, the name of our Business Manager. Click Review next to it.
If there is no Pending Business Manager Requests section, either our request has not arrived yet, or someone else with Super admin access has already accepted it. If you are not sure which, contact us and we will check for you.
Step 3 – Accept the request
A window opens with the details of the request. Review it, then click Accept.
Step 4 – Confirm the connection
Once you accept, the request disappears from Pending Business Manager Requests. That is everything you need to do. We then give Page access to the members of our team who will publish for you.
What happens next
That is it. We finish the setup on our side and confirm with you once publishing is live.
Your Page stays yours, and you remain a Super admin. One thing does change: once you accept, LinkedIn manages your Page’s admin roles through our Business Manager. If you need an admin added, changed or removed, tell us and we will take care of it.
Removing our access at any time
You are always in control. To end our access, tell us and we will remove your Page from our Business Manager. When we do, everyone on our team loses access to your Page.
